FitBridge Gym is built so that your training data stays yours. This page explains what the app stores, where, and why.
What the app collects
- Workouts you log: exercises, sets, weights, reps, treadmill entries, notes, and coach notes generated on your device.
- Health data you allow from Apple Health: steps, distance, energy, heart rate, resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, VO₂ max, respiratory rate, sleep, blood oxygen, weight, body fat and workouts. The app writes back heart rate, steps, weight, body fat and workouts. Health data is never sold or used for advertising.
- Heart rate from a Bluetooth band while connected.
- Body logs and diet plans you enter or import.
- Account: your email address and a user ID, if you create an account.
- Challenge data you choose to share: display name, an optional cut-out photo, scores, posts and photos on a challenge wall.
- Location, only if you set a gym: the app records when you enter and leave a circle around it. Coordinates stay on your phone; only visit start and end times are stored.
Where it is stored
Everything is stored on your iPhone. If you sign in, your data is synced to your own space in Google Firebase (Firestore), protected by rules that let only your account read or write it, except challenge data, which members of that challenge can read. Heart-rate readings, steps and gym visits expire in the cloud after the retention period you choose (30, 90 or 365 days).
On-device intelligence
Coach notes, the weekly narrative, diet import and challenge suggestions use Apple's on-device model. Text and photos processed this way do not leave your phone.
What we do not do
- No advertising, no trackers, no analytics SDKs, no selling or sharing data with third parties.
- No location data is uploaded.
Your choices
- Erase all app data under You → Stored data.
- Delete challenge photos or posts from the app at any time.
- Revoke Apple Health, location, camera or photo access in iOS Settings.
- To delete your account and cloud data, email the address below and it is removed within 7 days.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details.
